The look might be a result of having to sit at my feet for ages while I drew him.
Not that Daniel isn't occassionally thoughtful and serene...
My own self portraits often come out quite intense sheerly from the effect of
staring into a mirror for so long while concentrating on sketching myself. People
are like: "wow, what a deep amazing look, you really caught the power and intensity
of your spirit" when really all I was thinking was something like. "Hmmmm...does my
eyebrow really extend that far over the bridge of my nose?"
